Thank you, you are certainly right to highlight the lack of preparedness and resilience. Many people lost their lives as a result. My concerns remain that we still are not prepared and little seems to have been learned over the last five years. What concerns me more is the reluctance to be open and honest about the mistakes made due to fears of admitting roles in loss of life and having to take the blame. The IPC is an example of still not acknowledging airborne transmission since that would implicate those who put funding concerns ahead of public health protection. I hope I’m wrong.

Davies is right, we disinvested in health preparedness. This became clear in 2020/21 and led to the mass fraud with medical supplies. Frighteningly, I feel society may even be less prepared for a repeat. So many people I encounter are convinced covid-19 was a fraud and will not be taken in again.
